Dr David Smith received his degree in podiatry from Huddersfield University in Yorkshire, England and has been practicing for more than ten years. After university, Dr Smith worked as a locum consultant for Dr. Scholl’s throughout the UK, and owned and operated his own clinic in Stavanger, Norway before settling in Nova Scotia in 2008.

Dr Smith offers the following assessments: annual foot check-ups, diabetic foot care, lower limb neurological, lower limb musculoskeletal, lower limb vascular, bio-mechanical, and gait.
Orthotic therapy improves foot function, making standing and walking easier and reduces the fatigue that contributes to foot pain. Athletes also use orthotics to prevent or manage sports-related injuries to the lower limbs and feet.
General foot care includes: nail clipping, callus reduction, corn removal, plantar wart treatment, fungus on skin and nails.

When one works to stay physically fit, a variety of injuries can be incurred through training and/or competition.
