About Kath ~

I am an Australian born and trained Physiotherapist. My experience is broad ranging in both hospital and private practice, however I have spent most of my career working as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in Hobart, Tasmania, with a focus on neurological and orthopaedic conditions affecting children from 0-18 years.

I also worked with youth elite athletes on injury prevention and rehabilitation. In the adult setting I am trained in the McKenzie method of diagnosis and treatment, a philosophy of active patient involvement and education.

I have lived Lunenburg since 2010 and enjoy rowing dories, sailing and my second job as a lobster fisherman during the winter.

Moving to Canada:

I moved to Canada in 2016 and life since has been a non-stop roller coaster of adventure...

Exams. Finding work. Exploring. Buying a boat. Learning to sail (well, following instructions on the boat). Getting used to being away from 'home'. Making new friends. Networking. Bringing a new skill set to the local area. Self promotion... All exciting...All with difficult aspects...

Most exciting was bringing Pelvic Health Physiotherapy to the women of the South Shore! And now I can expand the service I offer to both Women and Men and Children!!! So if you have a problem with pelvic pain, or any bladder or bowel control problems I can help!

These are not symptoms that cannot be helped, and they should also not be 'put up with'.

There are many people suffering in silence because they don't know help is available, there is help available. Come and talk to me. I promise once you are in the door it will not be difficult to discuss your symptoms. And you will leave knowing you can take some control back.

I look forward to meeting you, helping you and/or your friends and family.
